The Disaster of Dalmasca.

Born in the distant sands of Dalmasca Sidra began her prophecies before she could even talk, often fascinated with members of the tribe that would soon meet untimely deaths. As she grew she predicted more and more tragedies, until people started to associate her with her visions.

Thus she became the Disaster of Dalmasca. Drawn to lands soon to be drowned in chaos and conflict, enticed by people days away from death, unable to escape the looming despair. To welcome in Sidra was to resign yourself to your own destruction - or so the people thought.

As she developed, she began finding comfort in the stars. Her tribe had always held a fascination with the cosmos, and so their Seekers knew strange magicks to attribute themselves to the constellations. Sidra herself "feeds" off the fortunes and misfortunes of others, her own aether drawing on the fates of those around her. By storing the concept of "luck" inside herself, she can use it to reshape her own destiny to a small extent - channeling it into power.
